In Prague in the 2020s, Klez still shoots on his 1978 camera while Marko scribbles haikus into his worn notebook. After three years of creative exchange, the photographer and the poet are thrilled to present their second book.

How did it start
In 2015, Marko and Klez met for the first time. During their second meeting, they decided to create a book—an idea that came to life in 2019 with the release of Triste Mesure. Believing in strength through unity, the two friends, guided by the advice of publisher Nathanael Jo Hunt, organized half a dozen events around the book. These included readings, quizzes, live music, and of course, photo exhibitions in both Prague and Pardubice.
As time passed, it felt natural to recreate the experience—this time shifting from black and white photography to color, from French to English, and from classical poetry to haikus. In doing so, they aimed to capture the essential and embrace slowness—a rare commodity in a world that never stops accelerating.
What is our goal?
The goal is to raise part of the budget for this photo book—one that will brighten your evenings and find its place on your bookshelf, by your bedside, or who knows where else!

Marko Luth sculpts time and meaning into three-line whispers. Klez Brandar layers moments upon moments, capturing the surreal in the everyday. Together, they create a dialogue between word and image, between what is seen and what is felt.

Marko Luth
With nine books and over 25 years of writing behind him, Marko Luth is no stranger to the craft. His pen dances effortlessly between science fiction and poetry, weaving narratives in both his mother tongue and English. A true wordsmith, he is not just a master of language but a companion to it—living, breathing, and moving through life with verses on his lips. Between finishing his next book and hosting multilingual open mic nights, he dove headfirst into this poetic journey, embracing its unpredictable rhythm.

Klez Brandar
Klez Brandar, a jack-of-all-trades, first dreamed of becoming a photojournalist at 15. Though photography isn’t what puts food on the table, his passion has never wavered. For over 25 years, he has roamed cities and countryside alike, chasing the perfect shot—the one that stirs emotion.
But his talents don’t stop behind the lens. You might spot him gliding on a skateboard, catching a role on the small screen, or even hear his voice in song. Singing in French, Portuguese, Breton, English, and even Czech, he embraces the melodies of language—one more thread connecting him to the country that binds these three friends together.

Nathanaël Jo Hunt
Former journalist, former tour manager, always a storyteller. After a decade in the music business, Nathanaël Jo Hunt shifted gears—returning to teaching, then marketing, then ultimately back to where he always belonged: publishing.
In 2004, he founded Les Éditions Bijoux de Famille—a name that translates both as family jewels and balls of steel, the kind it takes to launch an independent press. A dozen books and cultural magazines later, the spirit remains the same: bold, unconventional, and deeply rooted in the art of storytelling. Among them, his own novels—playful, sharp, and unapologetically untamed.
