Healthy Korean Food Meal Kit - simple & easy to cook at home

Korean food meal kit is an economical, easy and convenient way to cook and enjoy Korean food, a representative healthy food that can overcome coronavirus. We want to promote Korean food to the Czech and contribute to cultural exchange through food.

What is the Korean food?

Korea is a peninsula state located between China and the island nation of Japan in northeast Asia.
South Korea, which is surrounded by the sea in the east, west, and south of its territory, has abundant ingredients that can be sourced from wonderful nature since ancient times.
In particular, fermented foods using soybeans and seafood have been developed, and soy sauce and doenjang are healthy foods rich in lactic acid bacteria.
The most widely known foods are kimchi, bibimbap, and bulgogi, which are recognized as super foods.
Since the 1970s, as Korea's economic growth has advanced, Korean food culture has begun to develop highly beyond the traditional ones. Around this time, meat consumption increased, and the Korean BBQ culture, which is now in the spotlight around the world, has grown significantly.
The Korean food culture has developed into a unique Korean food culture focused on fermentation, hot soup and various vegetables, unlike Chinese fried foods that use a lot of oil and Japanese foods that are sweet and salty. Recently, Korean food has been in the spotlight around the world along with Korea's developed economy and culture, and the New York Times and the BBC are focusing on the excellence of Korean food. In particular, the BBC has intensively reported on Korean kimchi as a food that is effective in preventing and treating coronavirus in 2020. Korean food is now the most traditional and trendy food culture that is developing further by exchanging foods from around the world beyond traditional methods.

What is the meal kit?

Meal kit is a term that combines a meal and a kit meaning a set. It refers to a product that provides trimmed ingredients, sauces, and recipes necessary for cooking food.
It is also called a meal kit, cooking box, and recipe box because it contains trimmed ingredients and recipes. Meal kit can be seen as being included in a wide range of HMR. Convenient home poetry is a market that has been growing since a long time in response to consumers' desire to solve their meals conveniently. The market is booming.
Because Meal kit products have prepared ingredients and recipes, they can be cooked on the spot at home and enjoyed the convenience and taste of cooking themselves, so they are loved by consumers. In particular, the current Meal kit market, where eating out is impossible due to the coronavirus, is growing rapidly in major developed countries.

How did it start?

While we were unable to open the restaurant due to the corona emergency, we were constantly contemplating how we could communicate with our customers and help them overcome the boring quarantine life with healthy Korean food.

What is our goal?

We hope that anyone can easily and conveniently cook healthy Korean food at home using the Korean Food Meal Kit.

We are dreaming of cultural exchange to understand each other through Korean food meal kit.

We want to contribute to protecting the environment and economic consumption of our customers with economical and reasonable food preparation.

Why is hithit?

We want to lay the groundwork for growth by confirming the potential of our business and obtaining various feedbacks by selling our meal kit through hithit, a collection of Czech trend setters.

How to use the collected money?

The precious money collected from sales of meal kits will be used for the purchase of packaging equipment and website production costs.

About us

We run Korean restaurants in praha called Pocha, pocha bistro and prahaggogi

We have been running a Korean restaurant in Praha since 2017. We made precious Czech friends through Korean food, shared food and exchanged cultures with them. We always do our best to make our food, and as a result, it was named one of the top 10 restaurants in Praha by uber eats in 2019 and the top 10% restaurants in the world by trip advisor in 2020.

Because of the corona emergency, we were unable to meet our customers and we were very sad to not be able to promote the Korean culture of sharing affection through food.

In the meantime, we thought about a way for customers to enjoy Korean food easily and conveniently at home, and we made 5 of the most popular foods in our restaurants with meal kit. Jeyuk, Beosseot bulgogi, budaejjigae, ttoekbokki and sundubujjigae.

Our meal kits not only make it simple and easy to cook Korean food at home, but also save wasted resources and customers' money by purchasing more ingredients than necessary.

On December 12th, we held an online cooking class through zoom with 330 Czechs in praha with our meal kit, sponsored by the korean food promotion institute and the korean ambassy. The enthusiastic support of the Czechs for the cooking class was a great excitement, and we had the hope of sharing our meal kit with more Czechs.
