How did it all start?

JOSHUA DISTRICT  is located on the western coast of the Bali island. Whole area is made of shipping containers in the middle of rice fields. Our philosophy in many ways is hidden in a motto : “RECYCLE OR DIE”

It all came out from enthusiasm, love of the ocean, surfing and new challenges. JOSHUA DISTRICT was initially our working title, which somehow began to acquire content on its own. Everything about this dream of an exceptional place has begun to come true.

JOSHUA DISTRICT is also a connection point between the Czech Republic and Indonesia - The island of Bali in particular.

What is our goal?

The meaning and idea of JOSHUA DISTRICT stands on a fact, that the energy coming from this place is based on people (personalities) and what they represent. Among other things, people meet here and move on together, either they help each other or randomly meet and therefore start a new project right here in JOSHUA DISTRICT. People here show each other what they can offer to others, to  themselves, to the surrounding community or the world. 

We have reached this imaginary first peak. But ...

What have we achieved?

We managed to create an original place from used containers, including 5 villas, restaurant, coworking center, skate ramp not only for local local enthusiasts, shops with a sustainable strategy of all kinds and, as we say, the most important and summarizing: MEETING POINT OF CREATIVITY.

We try to invite anyone, who we think has something to say to the world around us,  to our lectures, parties and program.

Workshops, sports, supporting local communities, exhibits, training, parties, all of this is happening here. In an exceptional place in the rice fields, just far enough from civilization, with a beach where you can surf and collect garbage, be alone, because there are no tourists yet. We believe that in such an environment, information will get stuck in the brain more than anywhere in the city, nothing will distract you here, not even subconsciously. What do you want more than meeting people who have something meaningful to say in a such a beautiful environment? And we are doing quite well, better and better, slowly but surely…

Who are we and why are we doing that?

We have been making personal efforts from our free will for more than 6 years and we see that our activities make sense. Working with the community of ecologists, creativity are things that satisfy us, we see meaning in them and we are truly turning them into reality. We overcame a lot of problems and from the second half of 2019 the whole project started to be more or less financially self-sufficient and we are satisfied that a similar project can exist and the things can work even outside the center of tourism anywhere in the world!!!

Why HIT HIT?

We would like to ask you for support of our community project in Indonesia.

Due to closed borders, it is now a question of whether JOSHUA DISTRICT will continue or have to end...

Art, sustainability, sport, support for the local community, children, fashion, creativity and ecology are our main themes and we do not want to stop, we know that there can be much more to do, that our work is not useless and that it brings huge benefits to the local community.

We didn't have to displace any of the 25 employees, although we had to do pay cuts for the entire team. Due to pandemic regulations, we also have a limited capacity of visitors and it is more and more difficult to maintain our services.

We are talking about temporary cash flow for the most difficult period which is NOW. When the borders are opened, everything will be much easier....
