How it started

I will write a book! This idea was expressed out loud in the summer of 2010 when I was pleasantly tired, returned to his rented room on the square in Akureyri after the first successful odprůvodcovaném trip to a travel agency Periscope Scandinavia. I knew it was another strong impulse. I'll go back, and I know I can do it! In 2012, I already had in mind a clear pattern. Let me introduce readers Island, the way it really is, through the varied stories of both local and foreigners.

I said to my friends with a specific intent, most of them without hesitation consented to an interview. It is not easy to uncover any part of her face before the man with whom you govern a piece of the past, present. Believe that if you sacrifice personal time, words that were spoken, will not be misused and not waste the time you just ... She just eat like a baby?

Meetings and discussions were very pleasant, inspiring and gave me the strength to keep. Creating some of the stories I was hampered by a number of months ... Incidents are sorted as I gradually recognized the individual personalities within five years of life spent in the far island that I learned a lot.

Admittedly, several times I was tempted to let it go ...

By the age of twelve I got backstage children's show one of Zlin radio station. During the broadcast hours, something changed ... the next ten years are going to subconscious "radio". Desire to become moderator was huge. In reaching adulthood, I passed many times a voice test, learning to speak correctly under professional supervision, lacked orientation in foreign and Czech music scene of the 80s and 90s. Setbacks did not deter me ... I got to the live broadcast. Apparently he attracted me very much of the moment. But I knew that I can not play in every situation, and exercise "ape" I do not want to be, and I will not. Expired next summer ... theoretical training at the college. Birds fly out of the nest. How will prove a real adult life? The time has come to decide ... He wins the job offer: Moderator radio station or the European Voluntary Service - European Union project, which allows candidates to a certain time, usually 6-12 months, worked as a volunteer in a foreign country? Radio escapes me, but half a year spent in Iceland could become a missed chance!

For the six-month stay in Iceland happened almost five years ... to go it alone and not know where? Period of self-discovery, crossing borders, learning nepoznanému, to be himself, to see nature, to adapt, to understand myself, seize opportunities, overcome fear ... Island I left in March 2012 when he was seriously ill, my father, and I knew that I have to go home! And finally ... so simple ... Understanding the real meaning of phrases - Like. True friend. Although not a life, it is nothing!
Who I am?

I was born in 1981 in Zlin. I graduated Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Faculty of Multimedia Communications, a Master's degree course in Media and Communication Studies. Externally I am working with a travel agency Periscope Scandinavia as a guide foreign clients throughout the Nordic countries. I am a member of the Syndicate of Journalists of the Czech Republic. I focus on writing travelogues articles. I have published in the journal People and Country, Koktejl, Slovak newspaper SME and Wellness magazine 40+.


Why am I doing this?

Vast lava fields, glaciers heartless, heat inside the Earth, scary and unusual hours of silence and solitude - all that features the second largest island of our planet - Island. Iced Earth, where more than elsewhere still have laws and wilderness where man against the power of natural phenomena seems tiny. And not only does it cost this harshly beautiful landscape experience. But I warn you! It may come to you Nordic island dig so deep into my heart that he will never give sleep ...
