20 years of the Museum of Air Battle over the Ore Mountains

For twenty years, we have been sharing the results of our work and the fates of the September 11, 1944 Air Battle. On Sept. 9th will take place a celebration program for the Museum anniversary. Became to be part of the event and earn exclusive benefits.

Obraz Me 262 "Dawn Intrusion" od Roberta Baileye

Dnes přiblížíme část odměny jedné z odměn tohoto projektu, označené jako “Fighter Ace”. Je to unikátní print o velikosti 51 x 78 cm od kanadského výtvarníka Roberta Baileye. Tématem je okamžik, kdy se německý pilot Walter Schuck z JG 7, vrací v zimní ráno na začátku roku 1945 se svým Me 262 na základnu v Brandenburg-Briest, kterou nachází pod útokem amerických P-51 a P-47. Zatímco Bf 109G z ochrany letiště zasahují proti útočníkům Schuck přerušuje přistání a snaží se s Mustangy za zády uniknout...



Limitovanou edici určenou pro Muzeum jsme získali od autora jako jeho snahu muzeu pomoci a zároveň jako „odměnu“ za naši pomoc při přípravách jiných jeho tematických obrazů.

Každý z obrazů je číslovaný a podepsaný autorem. Podpisy veteránů Luftwaffe na nich přibyly v roce 2004, během setkání k výročí letecké bitvy nad Krušnohořím. Dva z veteránů podepsaných na obrazech, Alfred Ambs a Hellmut Detjens, jsou bývalí piloti proudových Me 262 od III./Jagdgeschwader 7.

Pokud se chcete o obrazu dozvědět více a třeba i porovnat cenu naší odměny s galeriemi Aviation Art po světě, doporučujeme si vygooglit termín „Bailey Dawn Intrusion“.

Lt. Alfred Ambs získal 7 vzdušných vítězství, z toho všechna na Me 262.

Jeho přítel již od dob války, Uffz. Hellmut Detjens, rovněž pilot Me 262 získal jedno potvrzené vítězství a to jako pilot Bf 109 dne 11. 9. 1944 (tedy v bitvě, které je věnováno naše muzeum).

Uffz. Heribert Koller, pilot Fw 190 z 5./JG 54, dosáhl během války ve více než 350 operačních letech 49 potvrzených vítězství.



Manfred Kudell, pilot Fw 190 z JG 1 a JG 4 byl vážně popálen v posledních dnech války během bojů v okolí Berlína.
