Pact of Blood is a dark survival game where you explore a medieval world through magical portals. I'm developing the game solo as a student from Slovakia, and your support will help expand the content, finish the game, and release it on Steam.

My name’s Laci, and I’ve been into game development for over 8 years now. I’ve thrown myself into it completely – it’s both a blessing and a curse. 😃 After dozens of mini-games, demos, and my first simple game on Steam, it was finally time to make something big.
Yeah, I know!!! That’s nothing new!!! And that’s exactly why I built the whole world around portal travel and discovering new locations. Not the usual open world where your biggest thrill is picking up sticks, but unique zones you explore one by one, slowly uncovering the secrets of this world. Survival here plays more of a background role – it keeps the tension up and pulls you deeper into the story.
Pact of Blood is a dark medieval survival adventure with realistic graphics. You play in a shattered world ruled by blood magic. Your only safe haven is a base protected by an ancient magical barrier.
A portal is your only connection to the outside world. To gather new resources, you must use this magical portal, which opens only from time to time. It throws you into one of many dangerous locations, each revealing more of the game’s story.
At your base, you can build your own refuge – construct, grow, craft, survive.
But the world around you is dead. And full of “life” that wants to crush you.
The money from this campaign is going straight into 3D models – because this ain’t Minecraft, where one cube fits everything from pigs to the whole universe. My game goes for realism, so I need lots of detailed assets – weapons, monsters, animals, trees, rocks, bushes… Some I'll bash together myself, some I’ll buy, some I’ll edit, and maybe the universe will drop a few in my lap.
I also want to level up the main character and the enemies. Every bastard in the game will have its own vibe. One will sneak up on you, another will leap at your throat, a third will curse you – and then spit on your back for good measure.
The goal is to release the game this year. Every cent helps – speeds up development, unlocks more options, and most importantly, lets me go all in on this project. Thanks for riding this with me! It’s gonna be wild!!!
(Well, if sitting 10 hours a day in front of a screen counts as wild – not sure about that, but I’ve gotten used to it 😅)
A hunter moved silently through the forest, tracking the prints of a deer. It led him deep into the woods, far from villages, far from everything. Suddenly, the sky tore open – an explosion shook both the heavens and the ground. And just like that... it was over.
Dark, bloody magic flooded the world.
Everything alive screamed, burned, and died. The land collapsed into chaos. But him – he was still breathing.
The ground beneath his feet began to glow with ancient energy.
An old sacred place, long forgotten among the roots of the forest, had awakened. It wrapped him in a magical barrier – the only thing that saved him from the raging destruction. From that moment on, he was alone.
Trapped in his own salvation.
But then, between the trees, a portal appeared. Mysterious… pulsing… ALIVE…

Besides making games, I’m also a university student in Slovakia. My dad’s a juggler, and as a kid, I traveled around with him to all kinds of events – we cared more about fun than responsibilities. Maybe that’s why I’ve always preferred creating games over sitting in class. That’s why I pour all my time into game development (please don’t tell my professors 😅).
I’ve created tons of small free games for mobile and itch.io. They were my little experiments that helped me break into the world of game dev step by step.
Later, I released my first game on Steam – Ultimate Pain. It was simpler, but I learned a lot about publishing, marketing, and all the technical headaches that come with making games. I’m now building Pact of Blood on top of those experiences – with a much bigger vision, more heart, and real ambition.
I’m working on everything in Pact of Blood by myself. Not because I don’t want a team – I just haven’t found the right partner to share both the highs and lows with. So for now, I walk this path alone – but that only makes me care about it even more.

I LOVE IT!!! It fascinates me how an entire world can be born from a single idea. And games? They bring that world to life. You can run through it, explore it, truly experience it.
That’s what I love. That’s what I want to do.
Portal travel just got even better. From now on, players can preview what awaits them on the other side before stepping through, and they can even move the portal around the map using magical runes. Each rune has its own symbol, representing a different way to manipulate the portal's position. It’…
MoreHey everyone! While working on the game, I use Trello to keep track of all my tasks and ideas.
