During the summer holidays I had the unique opportunity to visit a friend who was programming in C++. I was fascinated by how he could build interactive apps and games from simple code. That experience immediately captivated me and ignited my own desire to program. 🙂
I started experimenting with simple command-line applications, learning basic syntax and programming logic. With each new project I gained knowledge and confidence, which led me to believe I could create my own game.
As a child I’d always dreamed of having my own game, but back then I lacked the development skills and it seemed out of reach. Thanks to my friend’s inspiration and support, I decided to conquer my fears and begin actively developing games. That set me on the path I’m still following today.
My goal is to create Game of the Chosen, offering players a unique and intense experience in a dark horror world. 😈 I want each player to feel fully immersed in the story, facing their fears and overcoming obstacles. I also aim to foster a player community by providing a platform to share experiences and strategies. Ultimately, I want everyone who dares enter our world to become the Chosen One and live an unforgettable adventure.
Game of the Chosen is a horror escape-room experience that pulls players to the edge of reality and nightmare. You literally fight for survival—either you succeed and advance to the next round, or you meet a dark end. 💀
There are ten rounds in total, each taking place in a new room with its own atmosphere, tasks, and challenges. Rooms vary not only in difficulty but also in setting and threat type: from eerie children’s bedrooms to dark operating theaters inhabited by zombies and demons—each room has its own character. 😱 You must solve puzzles, evade traps, and confront paranormal entities lurking in the shadows. These entities can warp reality, shift you through time, or even physically endanger you, raising the tension and forcing quick, thoughtful action.
At the start of each round you choose a difficulty card—green for easy, yellow for medium, red for hardest. This choice affects puzzle complexity, trap danger, and the strength of paranormal threats. Even on “easy,” no room is ever truly safe.
After a successful challenge you return to a neutral room to catch your breath and pick your next difficulty. The game plays out as a ten-round tournament, where you earn points based on the difficulty of rooms you clear. At the end your score is recorded on a leaderboard—the aim being to achieve the highest score and become the chosen survivor.
The game maximizes interactivity—you can collect items, use them, and uncover secrets 🔑 to help you escape. From flashlight batteries to keys and medical devices, every item serves a purpose: saving your life or unlocking new paths.
Each room is meticulously crafted but contains multiple task and threat variants, so you never know exactly what awaits. This element of surprise ensures no two sessions are the same 🎲 and keeps you constantly on guard.
Game of the Chosen was inspired not only by my own horror-game experiences but also by the campfire ghost stories my friends told. Those memories drove me to create a game that unites players in a battle against fear and tests the limits of their courage.
