Fashion reflects the mood of society and the work of fashion designers is often a reaction to current political and social developments. The book reflects in an engaging and unusual way the definition of fashion as a form of self-expression and autonomy in a particular time and place. In this way, let us walk together through modern history, not only in fashion.
What is our goal?
We want to publish a book whose story is written by fashion itself. And it's guaranteed to be a little about you as well... The fashion career of Jitka Klett, a renowned fashion designer of Czechoslovak origin, in a uniquely crafted publication of over 300 pages, proof that dreams are worth having, obstacles are worth overcoming and the most important thing is to never stop. How is fashion style created? What does timelessness mean in fashion? Is it realistic not to become subject to trends and how to work with them? Why do we need fashion designers nowadays and how to form a relevant opinion about their work? How long is the road to the world's most renowned catwalks and how to stay on them? This and much more from the background of the attractive global fashion industry, where trends and icons are created, can be read for the first time ever in such a comprehensive treatment - not only in terms of content but also visually.
We currently have complete photographic material, dozens of interviews with people from the fashion business and technical and philosophical chapters of different time periods and topics. The concept of the whole book is in separate collections ready for graphic completion into the final form of the book design.
Do you know that feeling of being controlled by a "higher power"? I have always known that this book would be made, without knowing when. For 30 years I have been collecting and carefully preserving the materials that I want to share with you today.
I have long felt an interest in society to raise people's awareness of the creative business. People who lose interest in culture and art lose interest in life itself.
I've done over 100 fashion shows in my career. I have carefully documented all of them for a legacy for future generations, which we are in the process of publishing as a book, which we are currently fundraising for.
And what kind of book will it be?
300 pages of professional photographs, engaging interviews in czech and english, interesting know-how in 230x330 mm format full of colour.
We will look into the background of the fashion business from a more professional side and explain in detail the meaning of the different levels of fashion collections - COUTURE and the creation of casual wear. Together we will get to know what actually is the fashion business.

Who are we?
Jitka Klett is the winner of the Fashion Oscar for the Czech Republic for her long-standing contribution to the fashion industry (more than 100 fashion shows in 20 countries). The book documents her 30 years of fashion work. After such a long time in the industry comes a period of balance and with it came the idea to record the whole long journey in a book. Not in a conventional publication, but in a piece you'll want to hold in your hand and smell the irresistible ink on carefully selected paper bound into a sophisticated and stylish book. For the workmanship itself is like true fashion - it doesn't lack style.
Why are we doing this?
The creation of the book itself depends largely on you. We would love to publish a book that is not common by our standards, so we are reaching out to you, to help us raise the remaining funds.
