Wizard of Hell_Lido di Dante ...
This is a spatial performative installation with a live actor Petr Krusha using new media. Robotics interconnects with man, where literature, modern mime, dance and new technologies mingle. Surrealistic images driven by one actor, one machine. A self-standing object forming a scene and space. Interwoven cameras, lights, monitors, speakers, contact microphones, sensors and stepper motors. As a contrast to intimate, subtle and beautiful.
All the scenery is interwoven with poetry and stories of Petr Borkovec for contrasting the word, feeling with the machine. Furthermore, in the connection of two layers of vision of the world of Petr Borkovec between his poetry versus short stories. Where we are either as mere observers of real events, or as narrators of the changeable, where reality is shifted in time and perception into abstract reality or deed. This is poetry, story and machine.
Lido de Dante by P. Borkovec is dramaturgically based on the literary work Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. Watching real life today in the Italian resort of Lido di Dante with its most famous nudist beach on the European continent, where Petr Borkovec guides you through the place, the environment and the situation, just as a guide in the Divine Comedy guides you through hell. This performative, audiovisual installation will guide you as well.
The project is intended for both theatrical spaces and galleries. Most of the technology and electronics required for the project will be used from its own resources.
Artists participating in the project: Petr Borkovec, Adrian Kukal, Anja Kaufmann, Jana Kazubkova / assistant and consultant of programming Milan Štěpánek.
