Adorea - The Knight of hope

Based on our fans' request we would like to add a video to our YouTube channel. A short movie culminating with a combat of a fully armored knight against a group of lightly dressed fighters. Our videos are known for their specific and innovative approach.

How it began

Adorea Olomouc sword-fighting team has a 20-year-old history, our production contains shootings of Czech as well as international movies and spots and live shows all over Europe. In our free time we shoot videos for our YouTube channel, that is followed by fans from all over the world. And it is the fans who brought us to the possibility of crowdfunding. That is why we would like to add a new video to our channel.

What is our goal?

With this video, we would like to move our work forward. We are trying to perform the most exact adaptation of European swordfighting and to reveal forgotten pieces of our history in this way. This time we plan to demonstrate the real advantages of armor usage. We will shoot about a 5 minute video culminating with a mass choreography of at least 10 actors at a time. All of that with the use of professional film making equipment.

Details

We always tend to carry out a professional performance in respect to our sword-fighting techniques. Thanks to your financial support we will have greater opportunities to use professional filming equipment that will allow us to work on a much higher level. In our new video we want to capture a fighting armored knight as we could never have seen in any current film adaptation. The aim is to show the spectators the huge advantage that an armor provides to its owner, who, of course, is very well trained. A knight was commonly trained in the art of combat from an early age, which, along with the advantages of the armor, made him a very strong rival. You can look forward to a breathtaking action show containing demanding physical exercise of a high level swordfighting, precision, acrobatics, stunt work, as well as dramatic moments coming out of applying different tactics by the knight's opponents.

The highlight of the video will be a mass sword-fighting scene where the armored fighter will face more than 10 enemies at a time.

Who are we?

Adorea club was founded in 1998. It focuses on studying, training, exercising and performing historic sword-fighting and its popularization, on choreography set up, scene fencing teaching and actors´ preparation for action scenes.
We tend to carry out the most accurate performance of historic swordfighting and martial arts. We combine the usage of antique books written by old sword masters together with the modern experience of present stunt school.

Why do we do that?


In our leisure time we shoot videos for our YouTube channel followed by fans worldwide. They have brought our attention to crowdfunding opportunity. Up to now our video costs have been fully covered by ourselves, so this time we would like to raise funds that would allow us to use professional equipment, the art of a class cameraman and to create a quality post-production for a result that could equal large-budget projects. Thanks to the financial support we can build a project that we have been planning for a time.
